In McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada
The 7th Microscopy Characterisation of Organic-Inorganic Interfaces (MCOII) meeting will return to an in-person format in 2023 and will be hosted for the first time in North America at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, home of the Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy. The transatlantic scientific organizing team of Nadja V. Tarakina (MPIKG, Germany) and Kathryn Grandfield (McMaster University, Canada) have put together an exciting two-day programme. As usual, the first day will be more general, covering a broad range of microscopy approaches (correlative microscopy solutions, in-situ liquid microscopy methods, low-voltage electron microscopy and many more) in the context of imaging hybrid and soft matter. On the second day, a special Focus Lecture Series, entitled "Multi-dimensional and multiscale microscopy of organic-inorganic interface" will cover a more-detailed range of lectures on tomographic methods spanning light, X-ray and electron microscopy, as well as atom probe tomography and in situ electron microscopy/tomography. This conference will bring together world-leading experts in microscopy, highlighting the latest achievements, new opportunities and outstanding challenges in probing beam-sensitive and hybrid materials and their interfaces.

ICQ15: The 15th International Conference on Quasicrystals
-
In Tel Aviv
The discovery of quasicrystals, over four decades ago, put an end to the age-old crystallographic paradigm that long-range order is synonymous with periodicity. It opened a new challenging research field, which is still pursued by an active and interdisciplinary scientific community worldwide. Great progress has been made, particularly in recent years, in understanding the mathematics, geometry, and physical behavior of quasicrystals, while the ever-growing list of diverse experimental systems, exhibiting aperiodic long-range order, keeps posing new and challenging questions and puzzles. Join us, this coming June, on the campus of Tel Aviv University, near the beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean, for an exciting international meeting on quasicrystals! Learn about the latest discoveries! Share your own work and new results! Interact with the rest of our diverse scientific community! And, enjoy the sites and scenes of Israel!!
20th International Conference on Crystal Growth and Epitaxy
-
In Naples
The 20th International Conference on Crystal Growth and Epitaxy (ICCGE-20) will be the latest in a sequence that started with ICCG-1 in Boston, MA, USA in 1966, which marked the formation of the crystal growth community as an independent discipline rather than subsidiary to a number of other fields. The key principle is that the theory and practice of crystal growth is common across a range of materials and applications and that we have much to share with one another.
It will provide sessions for presentation and discussion regarding recent research and development activities in all aspects of crystal growth, epitaxy, characterization and applications including both general sessions and special topical symposia.
The abstract submission deadline is 31 January 2023.Â

Annual Meeting of the British Zeolite Association
-
In Manchester
The British Zeolite Association (BZA) was founded in 1977 to provide a forum where zeolite scientists could meet to review and share their latest findings. Today the (ordered) nanoporous materials community in the UK numbers several hundred active research scientists and engineers, from both industry and the academic sector, who reflect the great variety of applications of micro- and mesoporous materials, from catalysis and petrochemical processing to chemical separations, detergents and environmental clean-up.
The major event of the BZA's year is the annual meeting, which brings together scientists from the UK and overseas to present and discuss the latest research in the area. Strong emphasis is given to presentations from research students and young postdoctoral workers.
