The 14th International Conference on Inelastic X-ray Scattering (IXS2026) will connect scientists from around the world who are pushing the boundaries of resonant and non-resonant inelastic X-ray scattering to tackle today's most compelling scientific challenges.

The conference aims to provide a forum to highlight state-of-the-art developments in computational cryoEM and related themes, as well as showcasing outstanding recent biological applications. We aim to promote an inclusive, friendly atmosphere, welcoming those both old and new to the community. Topics include instrument technology, sample preparation, image processing, single particle reconstruction, tomography and model building.
 

The meeting includes the Diamond Light Source Biological Cryo-Imaging User Meeting for eBIC & B24 and the venue will also host the Karen M. Davies Memorial Symposium in memory of our dearly missed friend and colleague Karen.

This conference brings together researchers and software developers for in-depth, open discussions on emerging image analysis methods and algorithmic advances addressing challenging biological questions. Each session is designed to foster lively interaction, with plenty of time for questions and exchange of ideas.

The first XTOP conference was held in Marseille in 1992. With an initial focus on X-ray topography andhigh-resolution X-ray diffraction, the conference has always combined aspects of X-ray scattering and X-ray imaging. Over time, other related topics such as X-ray phase-contrast imaging, tomography and microscopy, and various scanning X-ray imaging techniques have been added.

Today, XTOP brings together scientists working on X-ray diffraction, reflection, grazing-incidence scattering, standing-waves, coherent diffraction, and ptychography techniques, as well as X-ray microtomography, microscopy and other imaging techniques based on phase, diffraction, scattering, or spectroscopic contrasts.

The ADD2026 School and Conference aim to deepen the understanding and to further the training of the various communities working with real-space data analysis methods in neutron and x-ray diffraction. The Fourier transformation of total-scattering diffraction data from reciprocal space into real space produces a Pair-Distribution Function (PDF) that represents a model-independent "snapshot" of the short-range atomic structure within the sample.  The PDF(r) thus probes both static and dynamic local atomic correlations (as well as local magnetic spin correlations in the case of neutron diffraction).  The measured PDF(r) can then be modelled or simulated using various software packages.  These so-called "PDF-analysis" methods are therefore complementary to the well-known Rietveld method of refining diffraction data in Q-space that however provides only a space-time averaged picture of the sample's structure.

Welcome to the 2nd Young Crystallographers Meeting, which will take place from December 2nd to 5th, 2025 in Rennes at the Institut des sciences chimiques de Rennes. This scientific event was planned by popular demand as a follow up of the YCM1, which happened in Strasbourg in 2023.
This meeting is intended for young crystallographers (researchers, doctoral students, post-doctoral students, and engineers) from all sciences combined and all European countries.

The multidisciplinary character of crystallography will be promoted during this event with sessions mixing talks from Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mineralogy and Heritage Science fields.

The objectives of the YCM2 are to gather young crystallographers in a multidisciplinary and international context, to create opportunities for scientific exchange, and to provide networking opportunities with industry with a specific focus on the training and career development of the young scientist participants.

The Fourth Pan-African Conference on Crystallography (PCCr4), to be held in Algiers, Algeria, in 2025, represents a key event for crystallography in Africa. Building on previous conferences in Cameroon (2016), Ghana, and Kenya (2023), PCCr4 will bring together researchers, scientists, and students from across the continent and beyond to share knowledge, discuss recent advancements, and explore diverse applications of crystallography and structural science. The Latin American Powder Diffraction Conference (LAPDiC) will be an event in Latin America entirely dedicated to all aspects of the analysis of polycrystalline materials using diffraction methods (X-rays, neutrons, and electrons). Inspired by the successful European Powder Diffraction Conference (EPDIC ), LAPDiC aims to become an itinerary conference for researchers in the field across Latin America and beyond, serving as an ideal platform for presenting and disseminating new developments in powder diffraction instrumentation, analysis techniques, and scientific applications.

LAPDiC will bring together experts from universities, research institutes, and industry partners to share their knowledge, discuss current trends, and tackle challenges in powder diffraction. The event will provide a unique opportunity for professionals in the region to network, foster collaborations, and build a more robust scientific community.

Bridging both life sciences and materials sciences, the conference brings together researchers who utilize laboratory-based instruments, X-ray light sources, electron diffraction, and neutron scattering to explore the structure and dynamics of matter. It serves as a vibrant forum for sharing recent scientific breakthroughs, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations, and highlighting innovations across experimental and computational frontiers

This year’s program features a diverse and timely selection of breakout sessions, reflecting key areas of growth in the field.
