The 23rd consecutive meeting is organized jointly by the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Ljubljana and the Croatian Crystallographic Association under the auspices of University of Ljubljana and promoted by the Slovenian Chemical Society.
The official language of the meeting is English. There is no registration fee.

 An ancient tradition links the study of crystallography to this city, which during the sixteenth century saw the Medici family attracting on the banks of the Arno river Nicolas Steno, who stated the first law of crystallography. In the same period the Medici started to collect some crystalline specimens, first nucleus of one of the most precious and ancient collections of natural crystals.
The program selected by the Scientific and Organizing committees is thought to support the participation and contacts between members of the two groups involved, enabling the exchange of ideas in scientific fields (such as crystal growth, methods and techniques for structure determination, molecular recognition, polymer and material science, molecular medicine and structural biology), different and sometimes seemingly distant, but all associated with crystallography.
Thus, a hundred years after the international awards for the fundamental importance of studing matter by means of crystals, we are confident that Florence, the cradle of Renaissance ideas, will be the venue in which scientists from different fields will innovate and find stimuli for growth and collaboration.

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES
Faculty of Sciences, University Mohammed I Oujda-er and the Moroccan Association of Crystallography (AMC) organized the 5th Moroccan School of Crystallography from 23 to 27 October 2013.CMA organizes every two years a school on topics related to crystallography. The 1st school was held at the Faculty of Sciences of Marrakech in 2002, 2nd Faculty of Sciences El Jadida 2004, the 3rd Faculty of Sciences in Agadir 2006, the 4th at the Faculty of Sciences of Rabat in 2008 and the 24th European Meeting of crystallography ECM24 in Marrakech 2007.
This scientific event is part of the preparations for the International Year of Crystallography 2014.
The objective of this scientific event is to bring together potential users of crystallography, academics and industry to review the latest developments in this field. In addition to the fundamental aspect of crystallography, multiple applications extend the mining industry to the pharmaceutical industry through metallurgy and nuclear. This course is intended for researchers, PhD students, teachers and researchers and engineers. It will be moderated by scientists internationally renowned personalities in the form of conferences, courses and practical work. Part will be dedicated to the demonstration of new hardware and software to the latest crystallography.

Welcome to AsCA 12/CRYSTAL 28
A Joint Meeting of the Asian Crystallographic Association (AsCA),Â
Society of Crystallographers in Australia and New Zealand (SCANZ) and the BRAGG Symposium
November 2012 marks the centenary of the founding of X-ray crystallography by Lawrence Bragg, a field in which he and his father, William, made pre-eminent contributions that were recognised by the award of the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1915. William was the Elder Professor of Physics at the University of Adelaide from 1886 to 1909 and Lawrence was born and educated in Adelaide.Â
To celebrate this important anniversary, the legacy of the Braggs' discoveries in X-ray crystallography and the insights that they have provided into the structure of matter, a combined scientific meeting of the Asian Crystallography Association and the Society of Crystallographers in Australia and New Zealand is to be held in Adelaide from the 2nd to 5th of December 2012. The Conference will be followed by the Bragg Symposium at the University of Adelaide on the 6th of December 2012 that will explore some of the historical context and personal links to the Braggs' work as well as present some of the broader scientific and social impacts of the Braggs' work. Three years after their second successful Meeting (MISCA 2010, Oviedo, Spain), and six years after they organized their first joint Conference in Italy (MISCA 2007, Copannello di Stalettì, Italy), the Italian and Spanish Crystallography Associations deemed it necessary to renew this traditional event.
Stimulated also by the interest shown by the Swiss Crystallography Society, the three National Associations have merged their efforts to organize, in the beautiful surroundings of Villa Olmo, on the shore of the Lake of Como, the first Meeting of the Italian, Spanish and Swiss Crystallography Associations - MISSCA 2013.
In our intentions, the Conference will contribute to broaden the scientific contacts among the Members of the three communities. Â Moreover, thanks to the choice of an easily accessible location near Central Europe, it may attract scientists from neighboring Countries and fields.
Nearly one century has passed since Nobel Prizes were awarded for the discovery of diffraction by crystals and for closely related scientific activities. Later on, in 1927, Villa Olmo hosted the first Volta Conference, in which the uncertainty principle by Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg was originally disclosed. It is therefore a pleasure for us to invite you to attend the MISSCA 2013 Conference, timely juxtaposing a historical location with a memory of  significant change of paradigms in Science. 4th Turkish National Crystallographic Meeting

As you know, 2014 has been declared as the International Year of Crystallography by the UN (United Nations). Centenary of the birth of modern crystallography will be celebrated all over the world with symposiums, meetings, workshops and exhibitions held throughout the year. In this context, TUCr2014 is of particular importance for us and it has been listed in IYCr2014’s official page of events to be held in the world.
We invite all researchers and scientists who study in different fields including physics, chemistry, biology, pharmacology, materials, archeology and mineralogy and use X-ray techniques in their studies to attend and contribute our meeting. We hope TUCr2014 meeting will be a platform to increase recognition of crystallography in the public sphere, lead to national and international collaboration opportunities among participants and encourage young researchers working in this area.
It is also planned to realize a workshop titled as "Residual Stress and Texture Analysis by X-ray Diffraction" for graduate and doctoral students during the meeting. In this workshop courses and practical issues will be discussed. Students who will participate in the workshop and the meeting will be able to get support through TUBITAK.

VII Mexican National Congress of Crystallography

Crystallography today presents tremendous development and is opening new possibilities in scientific research and technological innovation. It is a very diverse field and fundamentally interdisciplinary. It concerns any method to study how that manifests the crystalline arrangement of condensed matter at the atomic level, from theoretical calculations electron density to atomic force microscopy.Â
The Mexican Society of Crystallography has proposed to offer in its seventh National Congress, a number of Plenary Lectures illustrating the above. In particular, we have prepared seven courses and four workshops that cover topics of interest such as X-ray scattering at low angle, electron density, nanostructures, nanodifracción, atomic force microscopy, crystal chemistry, solid-state chemistry of metal oxides including traditional courses Introduction to Crystallography Crystallography and crystals.
For this seventh edition of the Congress, has been chosen to host the city of Villahermosa, capital of Tabasco, whose temperature in May ranges from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius.The Organizing Committee wishes you a very successful participation in this event waiting foster collaboration between different academic institutions of the country and foreign speakers will visit us.Â

"Crystallography @ 100: Looking to the future, learning from the past"
The 2014 Spring Meeting will follow the successful format used in recent years with the traditional Young Crystallographers’ satellite meeting on Monday 7 April, followed by the main meeting starting at lunchtime on Tuesday 8 April with the final session finishing at lunchtime on Thursday 10 April.Crystallography as a field of research has reached its centenary and 2014 has been designated by UNESCO as the International Year of Crystallography. The theme of the meeting is in tune with these milestones and will be "Crystallography @ 100: Looking to the future, learning from the past." The meeting logo incorporates an image of the X-ray diffraction pattern of NaCl reported by W. L. Bragg in the charmingly titled 1913 paper "The Structure of Some Crystals as Indicated by their Diffraction of X-rays" (Proc. R. Soc. Lond. A. 1913, 89, 248-277; doi:10.1098/rspa.1913.0083). We are grateful to the Royal Society for permission to include this image.

The scope of this 22nd DGK Annual Meeting is to show the diversity of crystallography as an interdisciplinary science. We are very glad that a number of renowed scientists, representing all different fields of crystallography, have accepted our invitation for a plenary lecture. It is our intention to offer researchers, feeling home within the interdisciplinary field of crystallography, an inspiring scientific platform.
The meeting will be preceded by a special IYCr2014 Symposium on 17 March.
