The IUCr Award for Exceptional Service to Crystallography is presented to Lodovico Riva di Sanseverino by the outgoing IUCr President, William L. Duax. The award recognises the efforts behind the long-term organisation of Erice Schools in crystallography. Yuji Ohashi, incoming IUCr President, is in the background.
