SAS2027

The international Small-Angle Scattering Conference (SAS2027) will bring together the global small-angle scattering community to share recent advances and explore how the technique is being applied across established and emerging areas of science.

Held every three years, the SAS conference series provides an international forum for researchers using small-angle X-ray, neutron and related scattering methods. SAS2027 returns the conference to Europe, in Sweden, following SAS2024 in Taiwan.

The scientific programme will cover four main themes:

• Materials for a Sustainable World
  Cellulose, bio-derived and bio-based materials, magnetic materials, energy materials, quantum materials, catalysts and porous materials.
• Hard Matter
  Material microstructures, magnetic materials, and metal and oxide nanomaterials.
• Soft Matter
  Gels and complex fluids, self-assembled systems, liquid crystals and polymers.
• Biology
  Membrane proteins, protein and nucleic acid complexes, membrane mimics, delivery vehicles, solution protein structures, biocoacervates and antibodies.

SAS2027 will highlight both methodological developments and the growing impact of small-angle scattering across materials science, soft matter, biology and sustainability research.
